Privacy policy

ComicStow reads your own comics and image-based books. It does not require a ComicStow account. This policy covers the app, its optional source-repository service, and support requests.

Your library stays on your device

Imported files, covers, collections, reading progress, settings, and downloaded chapters are stored on your device. The app does not automatically upload your local library or reading history to a ComicStow server. Local reading does not require an internet connection.

Private Library authentication uses Apple's device authentication services or locally stored PIN/pattern verifiers. ComicStow does not receive your Face ID biometric data. Authentication and app encryption credentials are stored using the iOS Keychain.

Optional online sources

No online sources are included in a fresh install. If you choose to install a signed repository, the app downloads its index and JavaScript source scripts, verifies their signatures and hashes, and checks for updates when the app opens.

Using a source sends requests directly to the relevant website and its content hosts. These requests may include search terms, requested comic or chapter addresses, normal connection information such as your IP address and user agent, and site-required headers or temporary cookies. Those services operate under their own privacy policies and may keep request logs. ComicStow does not control their practices.

The ComicStow repository and these pages are hosted through Cloudflare. Hosting and security providers may process connection and request information to deliver files and protect the service. This does not give them access to comics stored locally on your device.

Analytics and diagnostics

The app does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. Diagnostic and network-traffic logs are kept locally. Logs can contain file names, error details, website addresses, and request or response information. They are shared only when you choose to export and send them. Review logs before sharing them.

Apple may provide crash or diagnostic information under your Apple privacy and sharing settings. Apple's handling of that information is governed by its own privacy policies.

Backups and sharing

Backup and export actions create files in a location you choose. If you save or share a file using iCloud Drive or another provider, that provider handles it under its own terms and privacy policy. iOS device backups are also governed by your Apple settings. ComicStow does not operate an automatic library cloud-sync service.

Support requests

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond, troubleshoot, and maintain the support conversation. Please do not send passwords or private reading material. You can request deletion of support correspondence by contacting us.

Your choices

You can use local reading without installing sources, remove installed sources in Settings, clear local logs, delete library items, and choose whether to export files or diagnostics. Exported copies and device backups remain wherever you saved them until you delete them there.
